Conductive Keratoplasty (NearVision CK) is a vision correction option for individuals 40 years and older who have had good distance vision their entire life but with age now find themselves requiring eyeglasses for reading.

FDA-approved for the treatment of presbyopia, NearVision CK is a refractive surgical procedure that uses radiofrequency energy to reshape the cornea. Using a small probe that gently touches the cornea, the doctor applies multiple spots of radiofrequency energy in a concentric manner. The radiofrequency energy reshapes the corneal periphery thereby making the central part of the cornea steep and improving near vision. No cuts are made and no tissue is removed. NearVision CK is performed on an outpatient basis with topical anesthesia. It is also indicated for low-level hyperopia. >> FAQ
