Unlike other microkeratomes, it can position the hinge of the flap superiorly, preventing flap mal-positioning brought about by eyelid movement, or anywhere else it needs to be. The Zyoptix XP improves on the flap protection allowed by our previous Hansatome Microkeratome. It also allows an even higher degree of consistency in terms of flap thickness. Its enhanced failsafe mechanisms are designed to prevent problems caused by power failure and other vacuum-related factors.
